All Serveware has been finished with a food grade mineral oil and conditioner. After use, wash with warm water and a mild soap and simply dry, never soak. To prolong the life of your serve ware, periodically apply a mineral oil such as ‘Howard Cutting Board Oil’. Refrain from using cooking vegetable oils to condition your boards as they will soak into the pores of the wood and otherwise contaminate your piece. Also, never use serveware for preparing any raw meat.

  After only a single use serveware may begin to feel dry, show patina, stain, and indicate signs of wear. This is a natural occurrence as the piece begins to evolve with you and its use.  If one desires to preserve the pristine look of the serveware, it is recommended to choose one side to use for cutting and the opposite side for food display.
